Booking.com and easyHotel offer cut-price deals as travel rules relax

Holidaymakers can save up to £200 off their next trip under a discount deal to coincide with the return of international travel.

UK travellers can obtain a 10 per cent discount from the cost of a break booked via the Booking.com app.

Users in the UK can activate Booking.com’s travel credit in the app before May 31, then book a stay by June 30 to receive the discount back in post-stay travel credit, up to a value of £200.

Latest research by the online portal shows 68 per cent feel more hopeful and optimistic about travelling in 2021 following the Covid-19 vaccine roll-out.

Glenn Fogel, chief executive of Booking.com, said: “This pandemic has taken a toll on so many aspects of our lives and society, including the travel industry and the myriad of businesses it comprises, and it’s been truly uplifting to see Britons’ determination to move toward a better, brighter future for all.

“We know recovery will take time, so we hope this 10 per cent back in travel credits can be one small piece of support.

“We encourage all those across the travel industry, from governments to businesses, to come together and implement solutions to support and revive the industry.”

Meanwhile, easyHotel is ready for summer getaways to begin with the return of its Stay More, Pay Less sale.

Those eager to travel can save up to 20 per cent off their bookings, with rooms starting at just £29.99 a night, from May 5 November 30.
