Latest updates with TUI, Ryanair, BA, easyJet, Jet2 and more as last bank holiday of 2021 approaches

A number of airlines have issued updates as the last bank holiday of the year approaches.

Full vaccinated Britons can travel abroad to green and now amber list countries without having to isolate on their return to the UK.

The government’s travel traffic light system, which categorise countries as either Green, Amber, Amber Plus or Red depending on their safety, is constantly being updated as the world tracks the spread of coronavirus.

Lockdown has now eased here in the UK, and many holidaymakers are now able to enjoy foreign breaks away.

However some countries, airlines and travel operators are still operating under strict rules, even if passengers have had both does of the Covid vaccine.

France has been removed from the UK’s amber-plus list – meaning under 18-s and fully vaccinated passengers returning to the UK now longer need to self-isolate for 10 days.

The green list, which has a no quarantine rule for returning passengers, has also been updated. See the full list of green, amber, amber plus and red destinations on the government website here.

PCR or lateral flow tests are still required for most travellers, who will need to show a negative result before boarding their flights and cannot use the free NHS tests.

A number of airlines are taking bookings only to a certain date and to certain countries, all with a promise of protection from coronavirus cancellations and the ability to amend holidays or get a full refund.

We have put together a handy travel guide below, featuring several airline rules and updates – scroll down for more.
