Chabad of the South Shore offers free Jewish High Holiday services in Hingham

HINGHAM —  Chabad of the South Shore is holding free Jewish High Holidays services.

Rabbi Levi Lezell of Chabad South Shore said the services are open to Jews of all backgrounds.

“Our goal is to lower the barriers of entry and encourage each and every Jew to actively participate in these most holy and introspective days,” Rabbi Lezell said.

Rosh Hashanah services marking the Jewish New Year will be held at the Hingham Community Center, 70 South St. Monday through Wednesday. A traditional waterfront service or Tashlich along with a Shofar service will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Hingham Bathing Beach, 31 Otis St.

Yom Kippur services will be held Sept. 15 and 16 in a large tent at the Hingham Shipyard, 18 Shipyard Drive.
