MEDINA, Ohio — The Medina County District Library has planned a number of fun holiday events for the whole family. Please note that some activities require online registration in order to participate.

Letters to Santa & Reindeer Food

Stop by any library location Dec. 1-23 to drop off a letter to Santa in the North Pole mailbox. Take home a packet of reindeer food to sprinkle outside for Rudolph and friends.

Elf on the Shelf

Stop by the Highland or Lodi libraries Dec. 1-23 to find the elf each day and see what shenanigans that elf is getting into.

Snuggle Up & Read

Create a cozy evening for children in need by donating new books and pajamas at any MCDL location Dec. 1-30. Teen volunteers will package the PJs with a book, then distribute then to the Children’s Center of Medina County.

StoryWalk at Mugrage Park — “No Two Alike”

The Winter StoryWalk selection, located along a paved walking path at Carolyn Ludwig Mugrage Park, 4985 Windfall Road in Medina, promotes physical activity, spending time together and outdoor fun.

The winter book selection, “No Two Alike” by Keith Baker, is on display Dec. 1 through March 1.

Winter Wonderland

It’s the Lodi Library’s signature event of the year! Kick off your holidays with a visit from Santa, reindeer from Spring Mist Farms, horse-drawn wagon rides, face painting, crafts, a bonfire and treats! The fun runs from 4 to 7 p.m. Dec. 4 at the Lodi Village Square.

C is for Cookie Story Time

Celebrate National Cookie Day with a sweet story time and activity at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 4 at the Medina Library, 210 S. Broadway St. Register at

Gingerbread House Contest

Santa Night

Santa and Mrs. Claus are coming to the Seville Library, 45 Center St. Enjoy crafts, and don’t forget to bring your list. The event is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Dec. 7. Register at

Reindeer Games

Visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Dec. 9 at the Buckeye Library, 6625 Wolff Road. Participate in holiday crafts and activities. No registration required.

The Brunswick Library, 3649 Center St., will celebrate Gingerbread Week Dec. 13-18.

Gingerbread Houses

Children ages 5 and older can build a gingerbread house starting at 6 p.m. Dec. 14 at the Medina Library. Bring candy or other decorations for your house. Register at

Winter Dance Party

Enjoy a snowy musical experience filled with winter songs, movement activities, giant bubbles, children’s stories and interactive music technology — all over Zoom.
