The holidays may be coming to an end, but 2022 offers plenty to do in the Irish Hills

The Irish Hills Roots & Strings Music Series will feature Djangophonique at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 13, at Jerry’s Pub & Restaurant. Brooklyn Presbyterian Church is holding a one-day women’s conference from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 15. Through her messages, Cindi McMenamin will lead women to a spacious place where they are no longer on edge. Columbia Community Fitness Center is holding an open house from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 22. There will be 15-minute intro classes, healthy snacks, a health fair with tables from local businesses and prizes. The first 50 people will receive a T-shirt and a two-week pass. The fitness center is located at 11775 Hewitt Road, Brooklyn.

Nite Lites is taking place again at Michigan International Speedway through Dec. 31. Hours are 5:30 to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5:30 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. For more information and prices, go to

Join Hidden Lake Gardens for “Winter Wonder in the Sleeping Garden” from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 22. Brighten you winter day with a one-and-a-half-hour guided tour. This will be a slow walk through the collection with plenty of “coniferous conversation” as well as hot beverages and a snack. Please dress appropriately for the outdoor environment. 3DPT (3-D Physical Therapy) is holding a Women’s Health Symposium from 6 to 8 p.m. on Jan. 11. This is a free event featuring valuable information and special giveaways. Topics will include weight management, pelvic pain and incontinence, abnormal pelvic bleeding, hormone replacement therapy and more. The event will be located at The Christmas Family Centre at 1800 U.S. 223, Adrian.

The Irish Hills Community Legacy, the village of Brooklyn, Columbia Township and Norvell Township have initiated a trail feasibility study to evaluate potential routes from downtown Brooklyn to the Watkins State Park and County Preserve. The Irish Hills Regional Chamber has been hosting the Chamber Lunch Bunch on the third Wednesday of each month at various locations throughout the Irish Hills.
